How to use

Cleansing Balm

Cleanse twice daily. Apply a grape-sized amount to a dry face, massaging gently to remove all traces of makeup and impurities. Add a little water. Once it evolves to a milk, rinse with lukewarm water.

Feels Like: A gentle balm that evolves to a luxurious oil at skin temperature.

Smells Like: Steamcream’s luxurious signature blend: Lavender, Neroli, Chamomile and Rose.

Toner

Best used after cleansing and before moisturising. Use a few drops in the palm of your hand, or on a reusable cotton pad. Pat gently into the skin.

Is Cleansing Balm suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes! With a soothing blend of Almond Oil, Sugar Squalane, Grapeseed Oil and Oat Kernel Oil, our Cleansing Balm gently removes make-up and impurities while also boosting hydration, meaning it is suitable for even sensitive skin.

Will the balm dry out my skin?

Absolutely not! Blended with Sugar Squalane and Grapeseed Oil, the balm hydrates as it cleanses, soothing skin and leaving it feeling soft and hydrated.

What does 3-phase balm mean?

The balm is solid when in the tin. Once it touches the skin it melts to an oil, allowing efficient removal of make-up and impurities on the skin. Add a little water and it evolves into a milk, allowing for complete removal when rinsed, ensuring no balm remains on the skin.

Can I use it to remove my waterproof eye makeup?

Yes! Our tests show that it efficiently removes the majority of waterproof mascaras, while remaining gentle on the delicate eye area.

Can I use a toner for a double-cleanse?

Absolutely, our Toner can be used as a water-based cleanser as the second stage of a double cleanse. However, we believe the maximum benefit of the Toner is achieved by patting it gently into the skin after cleansing, absorbing into the skin to maximise the efficacy of your moisturiser.

What are the benefits of a Toner?

A toner prepares the skin for your moisturiser, soaking deep into the skin and helping your moisturiser absorb more effectively. Some people love a toner, and find it helps reduce the amount of moisturiser they need. Others are quite happy to skip this step! This may be a beneficial step if you need to use a lot of moisturiser to feel hydrated, or your skin is starting to feel tight during the day.
