A toner prepares the skin for your moisturiser, soaking deep into the skin and helping your moisturiser absorb more effectively. Some people love a toner, and find it helps reduce the amount of moisturiser they need. Others are quite happy to skip this step! This may be a beneficial step if you need to use a lot of moisturiser to feel hydrated, or your skin is starting to feel tight during the day.

Not at all! This product is actually best used directly using the hands. For minimal wastage, put a few drops into your palm, gently apply to both hands and then pat into the face. You can use any remaining toner to hydrate your neck, backs of the hands or elbows!

You may have heard of Hyaluronic Acid, which can hold up to 1000x its weight in water. Well Suizenji-Nori can hold up to 6000x its weight in water - 6x more than Hyaluronic Acid!

Absolutely, our Toner can be used as a water-based cleanser as the second stage of a double cleanse. However, we believe the maximum benefit of the Toner is achieved by patting it gently into the skin after cleansing, absorbing into the skin to maximise the efficacy of your moisturiser.
