Sourced from cocoa beans, which are taken out of the larger cacao plant, roasted, stripped, and pressed to separate out the Cocoa Butter. As well as being rich in oleic, palmitic and stearic acids, it is also rich in natural plant compounds called phytochemicals. These substances may improve blood flow to the skin and slow skin-aging by protecting against UV damage.
Why do we use it?
This deeply nourishing ingredient is known as a super hydrator, nourishing and soothing even the driest of skin. The fat in Cocoa Butter forms a protective barrier over skin to hold in moisture, helping ensure long-lasting hydration and improving elasticity.
