How to use

Cleansing Balm

Cleanse twice daily. Apply a grape-sized amount to a dry face, massaging gently to remove all traces of makeup and impurities. Add a little water. Once it evolves to a milk, rinse with lukewarm water.

Feels Like: A gentle balm that evolves to a luxurious oil at skin temperature.

Smells Like: Steamcream’s luxurious signature blend: Lavender, Neroli, Chamomile and Rose.

Original Moisturiser

Gently apply a thin layer onto cleansed, dry skin, massaging until fully absorbed. Use twice daily.

Why do you say it is suitable for face, hands and body?

Our founders were determined to create a cream that could be used on the whole body - they thought separate creams for the face and body was simply a marketing ploy. Pure Steam turned out to be their answer. They managed to develop a formulation that could be used anywhere on the body, meaning one tin could really do it all!

Why is it called ‘Original’?

This was the first cream ever launched by Steamcream, and in the UK it was the ONLY product we sold for over 12 years. It has now sold over 10 million tins worldwide and is available in our iconic silver tin, or in a variety of Limited Edition designs that change monthly. It is handmade in Japan using Pure Steam and it suitable for all skin types, all year round.

Will the balm dry out my skin?

Absolutely not! Blended with Sugar Squalane and Grapeseed Oil, the balm hydrates as it cleanses, soothing skin and leaving it feeling soft and hydrated.

Can I use it to remove my waterproof eye makeup?

Yes! Our tests show that it efficiently removes the majority of waterproof mascaras, while remaining gentle on the delicate eye area.

What does 3-phase balm mean?

The balm is solid when in the tin. Once it touches the skin it melts to an oil, allowing efficient removal of make-up and impurities on the skin. Add a little water and it evolves into a milk, allowing for complete removal when rinsed, ensuring no balm remains on the skin.
